The source of the Ragdolls goes back to the first years of 1960 in Riverside, a laughing city in California. In Riverside lived Ann Baker, the creator of the Ragdoll. In Riverside lived too Mrs. Pennels, the neighbour of Ann. Mrs. Pennels was the owner of a cat likely Angora: Josephine. Josephine had a wild character, that also trasmitted to her kittens. A day Josephine was victim of a car accidental and some neighbours see the accident. They helped her and theytook her to the local medical university, where they worked, for lending her the necessary care. Josephine endured a cranial trauma and lost a eye. After the accident Josephine had other kittens, but this time they was lovely and very sweet.
Ann Baker noticing this event and affirmed that Josephine endured a " genetic manipulation" during the care at the university. Ann come into possesion of the kittens
born after the accident, was trying to cross they each other to draught so well. Ann, next some cross, created a new breed: the Ragdoll. Ann Baker called her breeding Raggedy
Ann.
With the time the Ragdoll was successfull in America and faster they come in Europe thenks the Dayton spouses. They aquired their first Ragdoll from Ann Baker. The Dayton contribuited much to the
